Joe Conner
Ph.D.
Dr. Conner was raised in South Central Los Angeles. He obtained his B.S. and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles) and University of California at San Diego (La Jolla), respectively. His post-doctoral research involved aquatic toxicology, Cytochrome P-450, and heavy metal metabolism. He has taught biochemistry and nutrition at the University of Maryland at the Baltimore School of Pharmacy.
Joe is currently Associate Professor of Natural Sciences at Pasadena City College. He teaches a wide range of classes including Biological Chemistry, General Biology, and Marine Biology. He is the Director of the Pre-College Science Academy, with the operational goal is of helping 257 students obtain educational resources in each state every year.
